Terms of Service

By using alpha-brief (also known as 阿法筆記, the “Service”), you agree to the following terms.

1. Service Description

alpha-brief publishes Traditional-Chinese summaries of finance and technology podcasts and provides an AI-powered question-and-answer chatbot (“阿法問答”) that answers user questions using on-site content and grounded web search.

2. Accounts

You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. One account per person. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the Service.

3. Free and Paid Plans

• Free plan: 1 chatbot question per day.
• Pro plan: 8 chatbot questions per day, capped at 200 per month. Billed monthly (NT$499 / month) or yearly (NT$4,990 / year).

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the 帳戶 page; you will retain Pro access until the end of the current billing period.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to Paddle’s terms of service. Prices are in TWD and may be subject to local taxes as determined by Paddle.

5. Refund Policy

We offer a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase if you are not satisfied with the Service. To request a refund, email menulensai@gmail.com from the address tied to your account.

After the first 7 days, or on any subsequent renewal, no refund will be issued for the remaining billing period. You may still cancel the auto-renewal at any time and keep Pro access until the end of the current period.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Abuse, exploit, or attempt to circumvent usage quotas.
• Reverse-engineer the Service or its APIs.
• Submit content that is illegal or infringes on third-party rights.
• Resell, redistribute, or republish chatbot answers as your own original investment research.

7. No Investment Advice

Content on alpha-brief — including podcast summaries, editorial pieces, and chatbot answers — is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not, and should not be interpreted as, financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on this content.

8. Disclaimer

Summaries and chatbot answers are generated by AI and may contain factual errors, omissions, or out-of-date information. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its content.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be highlighted on this page’s “Last updated” date.
